Preheat oven to 350°
Mix together:
2/3 C vegetable oil - I use canola
1 C Sugar
Add and mix:
1 egg
1/4 C molasses
Mix in:
2 C flour
2 t baking soda
1 t cinnamon
1 t ginger
1/2 t ground cloves
Scoop and shape into a ball and roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet (I use parchment paper). Bake about 10 - 12 minutes. Just until the top crackles. Don’t over bake.
